We’ll provide everything you need to bring your gingerbread vision to life, from icing to structure supports to colorful candy details. Will you build a tiny woodland cottage, a gravity defying treehouse, or a gingerbread spaceship ready for launch? Your imagination sets the blueprint.

Join us for a vibrant, free community event and makers market hosted by the Port of West Sacramento Community Alliance in partnership with the VFW Post 8762.

This year's event will feature:

  • A community altar (ofrenda) to honor and remember loved ones

  • Cultural crafts and traditional games for all ages

  • Festive performances and Aztec dancers

  • A Lowrider Car Show presented by the Sacramento Lowrider Commission

  • A makers market highlighting incredible local vendors and artisans

  • Community resource booths providing valuable information and support

Come together with friends, family, and neighbors to celebrate Día de los Muertos through art, tradition, and connection.

Socktoberfest Family Faire

Join us to support the 4th annual Socktoberfest Winter Clothing Drive! Last year they collected over 15k pairs of socks, gloves, hats, coats, and other cold-weather wear. This year, we hope to help Mosaic West Sac blast that out of the water with special attention to gloves and coats.

And of course, the culmination of this event is the Socktoberfest Family Fun Faire! Sponsored in part by Rotary Club of West Sac, Washington Unified School District, Grocery Outlet and First Northern Bank, this event is FREE for the whole family! There will be live music, free food, carnival games, activities with community partners such as Yolo Arts and The Wonder Grove, trick-or-treating, an opportunity to help us sort socks, and more!

The Market at Killdeer Farms

Gather your favorite people, grab a shopping basket, and enjoy a bountiful morning of sunshine and community at your friendly, local flower farm.

Hosted monthly on second Saturday mornings, the July Market at Killdeer Farms features local honey from Golden Honeybees and handcrafted teas from Antique Rose Apothecary. Pick up chicken and duck eggs from Delta Tails Farm on Ryer Island, plus fresh organic produce from the ReFarmery. Enjoy chats with the Master Gardeners, coffee and bites from Lenise’s Cafe, and armloads of fresh cut flowers from the garden.

The Market at Killdeer Farms is always family friendly, and this month little ones can enjoy sensory play in the garden with The Wonder Grove. Join us for a lovely morning of relaxation and community. Take time to wander the flower patch and explore our newly planted pollinator garden. Feel free to bring your own food and beverages to enjoy at our picnic tables.
