The Wonder Grove's Day of Play
Come Out & Play!
Join The Wonder Grove and Elkhorn Village Elementary for a morning dedicated to one very important thing: PLAY!
In partnership with Nickelodeon and the Association of Children’s Museums, we’re celebrating Worldwide Day of Play with a morning full of messy, creative, active, hands-on fun for the whole family.
What to Expect
Build a giant cardboard city, make art, blow bubbles, create with chalk, move and groove with our DJ, learn some new tricks from a professional hula hooper, and - of course - get messy with SLIME!
Come ready to explore, create, build, move, and play together. There’s no schedule to follow and no right way to play, jump into whatever looks fun!
Dress for mess! We highly recommend bringing a change of clothes, especially if you plan to get slimed. Cleanup stations will be available.
Thanks to support from First 5 Yolo, registration is just $1 per person.
Help Make the Day Happen
Worldwide Day of Play takes a village! We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup, activity stations, slime, games, building, art, photos, cleanup, and more.
Whether you love getting messy, working with kids, taking photos, building things, or simply lending a hand, we’d love to have you on the team.
Elkhorn Park
Join us for free neighborhood nature play. Sessions include unstructured play, art, science, songs, nature exploration, and story time.
Dress for active and, sometimes a bit messy, play. Designed to engage ages 1-9 but siblings and babies are welcome. No registration required! Show up and play! Donations graciously accepted.

Join us at Drake's: The Barn for West Sacramento’s free monthly summer concert series, happening one Thursday each month from May through August from 5:30 PM–9 PM.
